Mods are still being developed for Fallout 4 ranging from enhanced graphics, unofficial bug fixes, all the way to additional storylines, and new fully voiced companions. It has been five years since Fallout 4's initial release, and without a proper installment in the Fallout franchise since (sorry Fallout 76) players are still finding new ways to have fun inside the wasteland of Fallout 4, and a lot of these new ways are through mods. While Fallout 4 offers players hours upon hours of fun in both the vanilla game and DLC, a unique feature of Bethesda games is how readily mod-able they make their games to be. However, until Sony will allow us to offer proper mod support for PS4, that content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim on PlayStation 4 will not be available.Bethesda's Fallout 4 is an expansive open-world game filled with hundreds of hours of content in the base game alone all set in a beautiful but desolate wasteland. While Bethesda has previously put the lengthy delay on Fallout 4's missing PS4 mods down to technical issues, a statement on its website today lays the problems at Sony's door, and says this will also affect the upcoming Skyrim remaster: "After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition.
Bethesda has announced that neither Fallout 4 nor the upcoming Skyrim Special Edition will receive mod support on PS4 - and blamed Sony.
